CONTAINERS

This very “brilliant idea” dawned upon the owner of the largest US traffic company, Malcolm MacLean when he watched for his loaders carrying sacs and boxes to the port. This idea also meant a new round of the transportation business: to load not a separate parcel but the whole volume of cargo in one “receptacle”. Inspired by this concept, MacLean acquired a shipping company, and constructed “Ideal X” – a container – carrier vessel. In addition, he constructed truck container platform. This way, 26 April 1956, the very first container shipment took place – and the first fifty-eight containers were sent from Newark to Houston.

The most reliable type of cargo transfer is also the youngest – but very much called-for: it takes the lion’s share of logistics. However, the advantage of container shipment is not only its low cost; you can load goods of any type and size into a container – and this is a real focus and charm of container shipment. Other bonuses include: the safety of cargo, easy control, and the delivery “from door to door”. Last but not least: containers are not “afraid of” weather conditions (no matter how nasty they are) – neither heat and wind, nor rain and snow will harm anyhow the container’s content.

There are a number of types of container – from those in position to contain only ten tons up to the “monsters’ that can hold up to thirty tons and more. What can differentiate the types of containers are also the sorts of contents: for example, type of Tank Containers is intended for fluid cargo, Refrigerators are to keep the permanent temperature, while the Platform Containers stand for specialized open platforms.
Our company, “Cargo Market” deals with all types of container shipment. We shall help you to fit the adequate type and size of container – and also, to control the freight hauling, the safe and timely delivery.
